Squared and rolled toe promote an easier break-over, reduce tension on the deep flexor tendon, and pressure on the navicular bone. This shoe must be fitted further back than the toe of the hoof using reference makers. This shoe is also useful to correct long toe-underrun heels, to reduce laminar stresses on the toe and stressed white line. The foot surface is seated-out to avoid sole pressures.The bar on the heels supports the hind part of the hoof on penetrable surfaces, preventing coffin joint extension and heels sinking in the ground. The stamps are punched at the same pitch of the hoof wall.
